Interim Self-Evaluation.



5 practical skills that you have developed. When have they proved useful?
  1. Colour Theory- helped me know what colours go well together
  2. Illustrator- designing
  3. Screenprinting- an alternative method to digital print
  4. Moving Image- another alternative end resolution 
  5. InDesign- helped me to produce page layouts effectively (grids&layout)

  1. Teamwork- group projects
  2. Time Management- utilising my time effectively
  3. Project Management- managing briefs
  4. Presentation Skills- the ability to talk about my work more efficiently in crits
  5. Analytical Skills- critical analysis of both my work and others.

List 5 things that you have achieved. How have they helped you progress?
  1. Taking criticism in relation to my work: using it to progress rather than hinder.
  2. Selecting research relevant to the brief.
  3. Passing print elective; giving me access to alternative resources.
  4. A knowledge of Illustrator has allowed me to use the software to produce work.
  5. CTS module: learning it and applying it to my work.

List 5 problems that you have had to face. How have you over come them?
  1. Group work: sharing roles within the group and being assertive.
  2. Realising my work doesn't fit the brief's specifications: critically evaluating my work to realise my mistakes.
  3. Producing too much digital work resulting in a lowered grade: experimenting with hand rendered techniques for OUGD103/4
  4. Do not work well in the studio: set myself tasks to complete in studio to utilise the time I am required to spend in the studio.
  5. Living on a budget: skimp on unnecessary items!

  1. Do not be late on Monday mornings
